In practical experience, the MOFA number is written on the VFS slip after document submission and biometrics. Keep that slip safely and take a clear photo for your records.
Medical report linking
After you receive the MOFA number, contact the medical center and ask whether they need to update or link your medical report against that MOFA number. In many cases this can be done the same day.
Why it matters
If the medical report is not linked correctly, visa stamping may be delayed. This step is easy to miss because many applicants assume the medical and VFS systems automatically complete everything.
