Is WAFID medical required for Saudi visit visa?

For most visit visas, WAFID medical is not required. This site focuses on residence visas.

Is WAFID same as GAMCA?

WAFID is the current name commonly used for the medical appointment system. Many applicants still search for GAMCA because the older name is widely known.

Can I choose my medical center?

For standard appointment, you usually select the city and the system assigns the medical center automatically.

How much is the WAFID appointment fee?

The standard appointment fee shown on the official WAFID page is $10.

How much is the medical fee in India?

Recent applicant experience indicates around ₹9,500, paid at the medical center. Confirm the latest amount before visiting.

How long does WAFID medical take?

Expect 3 to 4 hours at the center, even if the actual tests are quicker.

After the medical

Do I get SMS after medical?

Do not depend on SMS or email. The center may call, or you may need to check the WAFID website.

When do I get MOFA number?

The MOFA number is usually written on the VFS slip after document submission and biometrics.

Family and children

Do children below 12 need medical?

They may not need full medical testing, but may need a polio certificate with apostille and Arabic translation.
